About Me

Aloha, I'm Richt.

Massage entered my life through a personal healing journey that opened my eyes to the deep love our bodies hold for us. We often push ourselves too hard, overlooking the signals our bodies send. For me, this culminated in a physical breakdown in 2019.

To heal, I immersed myself in learning about hormones, (vegan) nutrition, connective tissue, massage, and mindset. Inspired by physiotherapy, I trained in sports massage. Massage not only helps improve mobility but also stimulates the release of positive hormones — my favorite being oxytocin, the “cuddle hormone.” This is why I’m passionate about giving massages: they reconnect body and mind.

Massage in a peaceful natural setting.

In 2021, I took an impulsive trip to Portugal in my little Twingo, with my massage table in tow. There, I offered massages in nature and at various locations, often to surfers. Since the weather in the Netherlands isn’t always suitable for outdoor sessions, I now warmly welcome you to receive massages in a cozy chalet surrounded by nature and rescued horses at The State of Being in Barão de São João, Portugal.

My Approach

You are always at the center. Before I begin a massage, I always ask a few questions about your health and your wishes. These needs can shift during the session, which is why I continue to check in with you throughout.

Every experience leaves an imprint.
Whether it’s a hard fall on the pavement or the stress of work, these impressions aren’t just stored in the mind — they live in the body, too. Healing and relaxation are not only needed in the mind; the body cannot be left behind. In fact, far more signals go from the body to the brain than the other way around. So let your body send a message of calm to your mind.

Surrender to the massage and enjoy the relaxation.

Is a massage always a good idea?

If you’re currently receiving treatment for a condition such as heart problems, Parkinson’s, or something else, always consult with your healthcare provider first to discuss your specific situation.

If you have an issue in a particular area — such as varicose veins or whiplash — please let me know in advance so I can adapt the massage to best support your needs.

When is a massage not recommended?

  • If you have a fever

  • If you have a contagious illness

  • If you have an injury that hasn’t been checked by a professional (like a physiotherapist)

  • Immediately after intense physical exertion (such as running a marathon — waiting a day or two is ideal)

Do you have questions or are unsure whether massage is right for your situation? Feel free to get in touch — we can talk it through together.
